Creation Calendar
2003-2016
The calendar on most of our walls is based on Greenwich
England (the law goes out of England). The International Dateline goes
through the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The calendar has nothing to do with the
moon, except that the months are close to the length of a lunation.
I offer a calendar that goes out of Jerusalem and has a dateline
through the Pacific, but two plus hours east of the International Dateline (a
straight line would cut through western Alaska). The months are real and are
based on the timing of the conjunction of the moon relative to Mount Zion in
Jerusalem. Using the midnight to midnight interval, the beginning of the
month is the day following the conjunction (New Moon).
This calendar averages out the moon phases for the entire earth.
The moon phases east of Jerusalem (e.g., China) will occur later relative to the
day and the moon phases west of Jerusalem (e.g., USA) will occur earlier
relative to the day.
One can visualize the day as the sun's light circling the earth. At
midnight in Jerusalem the sun is over the Pacific Ocean and that specific day is
beginning to approach.
With this system, one has to assume that his/her location on earth
is known and that the local observations can be adjusted for how far east or
west of Jerusalem the observer is located.
