From Eze. 1:2 to 8:1 is one year and two months.  At least 7 + 390 + 40 = 437 days worth of activity occurs in this period.  If all months were 30 days (12 months per year) this period would be 14 x 30 = 420 days.  For solar years, apparently the period would be 425 (or 432) days.  For lunar/solar years this period would be about 443 days +/- one or two days. 
 
Only the lunar/solar method gives enough days for the given activities, plus 6 or so extra days for preparation/travel.
