THE
YEAR
BEHIND US
1998: Finally, The Light Dawns
Concerning last year's tribulation message, we are watching world
events closely. The United Nations, Prince Charles, and the Jerusalem
negotiations appear to be key players or events. Who can escape
the wrath of the Beast? We watch the attacks against Iraq. We
see what happened to the Branch Davidians. But, more importantly,
we have seen that the message of the Messiah and those He taught
has been counterfeited by much of "Christianity." Most
churches ignore or legislate against the Sabbath, which was from
the Creation and continues into the Kingdom. Most churches substitute
and profane the Names of both the Father and the Son. In the place
of truth is Babylon with Sunday worship, Christmas, and the use
of "the LORD" and "Jesus." The age-old question
as to whether to serve IHUH or Ba'al is just as relevant today
as it was in Eliyah's time. We are attempting to see this distinction
more clearly. The messenger in Revelation 18: 4 urges "...Come
out of her my people, that ye not be partakers in her sins, and
that ye receive not of her plagues."
In this exciting time Robin and I home school the children with
increased seriousness, anticipation, and joy. Brian has found
an online Economics Course to be the center of his Junior year.
This course requires weekly essays that have honed his writing
style and games played with other students across the country.
He, with the other children, continues with the Robinson Curriculum.
Brian's other activities include blacksmithing, piano and trombone
lessons, playing trombone in the Apple Core Band, and bicycling.
He is now a proficient bicycle mechanic. Brian is content now
to cycle anywhere in a fifty mile radius; no plans for driver's
license yet. Please consider his enclosed tract concerning the
Names.
Andrew is now a freshman in high school. His essays carry a strong
message. Together with Brian, Andrew edits The Sutherland Times.
Andrew has quite a business sense; he has been buying and
selling quality racing bicycles. He and Brian enjoy weekly bicycle
touring around the county. He continues trumpet lessons and playing
in the Apple Core Band and can now improvise with Brian.
Lydia is an excellent student. She is an avid reader and continues
her faithfulness to journal entries. She and her father work on
her spelling through her entries. Lydia is becoming a competent
seamstress. She advances quite well in her piano lessons. Lydia,
Andrew, and Brian played prelude music for Grandma's wedding this
month. Lydia enjoys company of the girl to whom Robin teaches
piano lessons and of a family of band and bicycling friends.
Joel has started school in earnest. He is at the reading threshold.
This year he has been showing responsibility in daily chores.
He and Daniel have found walkie-talkies an exciting new communication
tool.
Daniel is responsible for collecting the chicken eggs. He helps
entertain the 1 year old girl that Robin watches three mornings
a week. Daniel and actually all the children enjoy Robin and I
reading to them.
Robin. What can I say? She is so faithful in looking after the
family. She keeps me organized, teaches and trains five children
full time, orders wholesale food for a number of friends, and
reminds us to reach out to the less-fortunate. She is also so
talented...she won Best of Show in the sewing section of the county
fair.
I have been having to apologize for some of what I've taught the
family and others in the past. It's been a transitional year.
Work goes well.
Special events this year include seeing my mother successfully
battle cancer, attending the Parker Reunion and Grandma Spigelmire's
retirement party and wedding, receiving the gift of a used Suburban,
and watching a hen with her chicks.
Blessed are those who "guard the commandments of Elohim (God,
specifically IHUH) and have the witness of Iahushua Messiah"
(Rev. 12:17b).
