This scenario for Messiah's final works before his death and resurrection is becoming more exciting to me the more I examine it.  The 6th through the 8th is Messiah's challenge to the existing system.  He culminates the work week with the cleansing of the temple.  He is prepared for his final week at the dinner in Bethany, where he is anointed.

The week beginning the 9th includes the establishment's answer to Messiah's challenge beginning with Judas arranging betrayal.  The 10th was an important business day where the lambs were selected and the Last Supper occurred.  As the lamb was inspected for three days, so was Messiah. As Jonah was alive for his test, so was Messiah.   As the lamb had to be found without blemish, so was Messiah as Pilate announced three times (Luk 23:22) that he found no fault in him.  Messiah culminates his final work week by enduring the death on the tree.

Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
